Just finished reading Shimmy’s Mud and Sand + Gods of Antiva. So uhmmm….. Chasind robed!Tevinter!Magister!Anders. In my mind, it’s a very…. flamboyant looking robes with the silver and gold clasps and ornaments and blue-black feathers (not the usual Anders feathers, mind you. But the luxurious, large, shiny feathers) jhdjgfhdgjhdg IDEK.
sometimes i just can’t (or cahn’t) and this is one of those times. i was being a grumpus and now it’s impossible to continue grouching my way through a grandparent visit because anders’s sharp, marvelous nose has pierced my heart. the design choices on these robes are glorious. i love each texture, each little carved buckle and delicate chain and scrolling brocade, and the luxurious feathers (perhaps a simir bird’s?) are such a perfect touch. and the hair. the hair. anders with long hair or anders with his hair down—it never fails to get to me, and there’s just something about the way it’s swept back, falling loose, maintaining elements of the styles in awakening and also da2 but has its own…freedom, i think, is a good word for it. freedom of length, in any case, but still pulled back, still held back by something—it’s so perfectly him. and his stubble, his talon earring, his graceful hands and those eyes. and now i will spend the rest of the day daydreaming about this world (and the sequel’s sequel that never got written, with karl and jowan and justice and finally kirkwall) and grinning at wildly inappropriate moments.
I just…want to run my hands through his hair. And oh joy he is smiling. Happy Anders is the best Anders.
